To be honest, I didn't love it at first, it didn't feel right in my hand. But I've been using it for a while now, and to be honest, the more I use it the more I like it. Its very sharp, keeps its edge and seems relatively easy to sharpen. BTW I'm a professional chef and use my tools hard. I think I like this knife better than my Grand Prix's and am thinking of buying a full size chefs knife next to see how I like it.This knife is one of my favorites now, even replacing my Whustoff off set serated as one that always finds its way into my hand.

Very well balanced, nice ergonomic design. Metal is softer than the German knives we have, so dulls faster than what we were used to, but is able to be sharpened easily with the sharpening stones we have. So a great knife, good quality, looks great, but will need more frequent attention to keep sharp.Customer Review: Good but pricey

I purchased this Global knife after seeing that Anthony Bourdain recommended Global brand knives.
I chose this size because [1] I'm an amateur cook with skinny hands and [2] because it's half the price of Global's other knives.
I'm happy with the blade and it's comfortable in my hands. However, it simply doesn't feel like it's worth $50. Global's water sharpener will make it easy to care for this blade, but I just can't rationalize buying another Global knife when Forschner knives are so much cheaper.
In fact, I have 2 Forschner knives sitting in my cart for future purchase.
I must say, however, that this knife has met my needs. Owning it has made me cook fresh food more often--difficult for a single college student--and it has made prep much easier.
